Welcome to our pet rescue software
site! The software, code named "Rescue Me", is being designed from the
ground up BY rescue groups FOR rescue groups.
It's Spring of 2012 and while we've gotten a bit of a start, we're
currently unable to go much further without the proper funding - our
funding project is not live! Visit us at...
... and contribute if you can, even the basic $1 will help. And in any
case PLEASE send our message and links to every one you know, post them
in newsletters and blogs, and update any social sites you're affiliated
with and ask anyone who reads them if they in turn would forward and
post the information in the same way to the same places.
If you want to contribute outside of the project, please use the form on
the Contact Us page to drop us a line and let us know what you have in
mind.
If you're a rescue group and want to be a beta tester or would like to
be notified when the final product will be available, again please use
the form on the Contact Us page to get in touch with us.
Use of the software will reduce groups reliance on boxes of paper, post
it notes, years worth of emails, a patchwork collection of arcane
spreadsheets, etc. enabling them to concentrate on the task at hand -
adoptions.
Our software will accomplish this in several ways. A lost and found
feature will help connect owners with misplaced pets. An adoption search
will allow people to find the perfect pet, and if not currently
available, a wish list capability will notify them when one is
available. Another great feature is an adopter search that will find
possible homes for special needs pets, a typically difficult group to
place.
Other features include being able to track and schedule medical
appointments, procedures and medications as well as adoption follow-up
interviews. Customizable checklists, event creation and management (such
as large adoption events, fund raisers, etc.) and many more features too
numerous to mention, all supported by instant email notifications.
On the back-end will be a reporting component to slice and dice data any
way needed. Aside from tracking their efforts, the reports will help the
group apply for a wide range of grants and other funding options
available from various government agencies and the private sector, all
of which require documentation detailing placements numbers and other
important information showing how successful a rescue group is.
The end goal is to maximize the ability of rescue groups to place
animals in their final furrever home where they'll be loved and cared
for.
